 Let me
tell you a little about Lonnie Blizzard,
born on a small farm in a small town in
North Carolina. Lonnie, like many
artists, started playing guitar at the
age of 10 and wrote his first song at age
13. According to Lonnie, songwriting was
a big part of his life because he could
explain things in songs easier than he
could in plain words - the song told a
story that came from the heart.
Over the years,
Lonnie has played with a variety of
bands, singing country, country gospel
and some rock. After that, he went into
the military and serviced this great
country of ours, as a gunner in a
helicopter. After leaving the military,
he went back to playing with various bands singing country
and gospel. Lonnie did finally take time
out to marry his wife Faye, saying
"she's a good women - putting up
with me and my music."
Lonnie thanks the
computer and internet for his music
career today, saying that is how he met
Charlie Ammerman of Pretty World Records.
In 2012, he charted two songs on the
IndieWorld chart: "Always Be
Together" which reached # 20 and
"I Have Gone Home" which
reached #26.

Lonnie just
finished a new album, "10 Songs
Penned by Lonnie Blizzard - Volume
1" and produced by Charlie Ammerman
of Pretty World Records. Billy Joe
Burnette did the arrangement on one of
the songs and said, "if you listen
close, you can hear a little bit of
"Burl Ives" in his voice, which
was one of Billy Joe Burnette's favorite
singers. Lonnie's new album will be
released shortly.www.PrettyWorldRecords.com
