 Its been seven long years
since Ty Herndon released a country album, but
vocally, on his latest project, Lies I Told
Myself, he just picks up right where he left off.
Over the years, his life has been like a country
song filled with joy and sadness, triumph and
tragedy, but throughout that journey the passion,
strength and sincerity in his vocals has only
deepened.
Tys early career included performing at
Opryland, competing on Star Search, and spending
a lot of time playing Texas honky-tonks. Those
experiences and contacts eventually led him to
sign with Epic Records, which produced his #1
record, What Mattered Most. He also
topped the charts yet again with the singles
Living in a Moment and It Must
Be Love, as well as charting another 14
singles including numerous top 10 hits such as
I Want My Goodbye Back, Loved
Too Much, A Man Holding On (To a
Woman Letting Go), and Hands of a
Working Man.
With that hit-filled musical resume, Ty built a
strong fan base and now with the help of those
fans and a very successful Kickstarter campaign,
he has released what is one of the strongest
albums of his career. There is a lot of Ty in
this project, from the two songs he co-penned,
Im In Love With You and I
Am The Man to the personal title cut,
Lies I Told Myself. As Ty states in
the liner notes, There were definitely a
lot of LIES I TOLD MYSELF that almost
stopped me from making music.
Thankfully, Ty hasnt stopped making music
because the honesty and warmth in his vocals are
truly what country music is about. Welcome back,
Ty!www.TyHerndon.com
