  Ben Stillwater and the Sound of
Country Rhythm Trio are quickly bringing
traditional
sounds back to the forefront by combining the
stand-up bass and archtop rhythm with an electric
hollowbody playing through a Fender tube amp.
This “country rhythm” combination is a
continuation of the sound that started Rock
‘n Roll with notables like Elvis Presley,
Johnny Cash and Sonny James branding their own
variations of this style.
While the Trio continues to develop their own
unique blend, their sound is steeped in musical
history with a strong foundation in country
music, which they are insistent about keeping
alive – hence the demand for them to do
country music presentations at libraries and
schools. In addition to those appearances, Ben is
also on the board of the Jackson County
Historical Society with Americana Music Room in
Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
The success of Ben’s Live TV Show,
“Giddy Up with Ben Stillwater” has led
to a new radio series entitled, “Giddy Up:
Story, Music and News.” The radio show will
air every Saturday morning on 99.7 FM WWIS (Black
River Falls, WI). It will feature stories of the
old west, from the silver screen and dime-store
novels to Ben’s own western story. As if
that’s not enough to keep Ben busy, he and
Cyndee Jean are finishing up their duet album
which will be released later this month.
The group has been gaining nationwide attention,
most recently having made regular appearances on
the TV show “Country Junction” filmed
in Kentucky. Because of that exposure and the
increased demand for live performances in the
area, two shows have been added to the
Trio’s schedule in May - they will be
performing  at
the Grand Ol Opry Tribute Show in Somerset,
Kentucky on Thursday, May 22nd and at Renfro
Valley, Kentucky on Saturday, May 24th at 2:00
