Rascal Flatts/Natasha Bedingfield shoot video at Nashville Symphony

Monday, June 6th a group of excited extras lined the stairwells of the Nashville Symphony anticipating the priceless opportunity to be a part of the Rascal Flatts/Natasha Bedingfield music video for their collaboration of the moving ballad “Easy.” This emotional tune which is sure to instantly grab listener’s attention is showcased beautifully by the pairing of country music’s popular trio with one of the industry’s most notable songbirds.

As an extra myself, I first hand was able to appreciate and thoroughly enjoy the making of a music video. I was able to witness how much effort and careful work it takes to construct a successful video. The work and cooperation of all is undoubtedly required as it is truly a team effort. So now you may be wondering what GAC/CMT viewers can expect from this upcoming video release? Well, I will tell you that there were limos and formal wear involved but I certainly would not want to give away too many details beforehand. However, I think the glamorous layout and overall presentation of this video will secure a very favorable spot on the countdowns in the upcoming months. Stay tuned as Rascal Flatts and Natasha Bedingfield make success look so “Easy.”

CMT Awards

Wednesday, June 13th I found myself at the CMT Music Awards. Having never been to this event, I was honored to get the opportunity to be a part of the excitement. Fans packed the stands and the mosh area surrounding the stages as their favorite acts gave foot-tapping, dance worthy performances all night long. As the night kicked off, it was clear that the crowd was locked in as the high energy Kid Rock made his entrance as host of the show. He was joined by Wynonna on the stage upon his entrance and the crowd went wild. A little humorous prerecorded acting clip featuring Taylor Swift and Shania Twain as Thelma and Louise caused all eyes to be on the screens around the arena.

It is safe to say the CMT Awards are one of the most energetic, lively award shows as this event is one of the most acknowledging events of country music fan’s, their voices and their choices. Some highlights of the evening was the return of Shania Twain, along with the first country award show appearance of the latest American idol winner Scotty Mccreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina. If that weren’t enough for the strong fan base in attendance, none other than young heartthrob Justin Bieber was also a part of this years event. Not only did he get to present an award, he also got to accept one with Rascal Flatts for “Collaborative Video of the Year.” It is safe that the camera of nearly every teenage girl in the arena was on Bieber and Flatts at that very moment.
