Tennessee Wraith Chasers
Win Paranormal Challenge

by Holly Marie Tong

As you may remember from a previous issue, I had the unique opportunity to accompany the Tennessee Wraith Chasers on a paranormal investigation at All Access Coach Leasing. Equipped with K-2 meters, cameras and countless pieces of high tech equipment, the Wraith Chasers investigate various sites that are claimed to be haunted or experiencing unexplainable activity. TWC carefully investigates these claims while remaining skeptical and logical about possibility of other interferences or explanations.

While I was on the investigation and studying alongside them, I couldn’t help but be impressed with not only the fact that they have an intriguing hobby that you simply do not run across every day, but I was even more so taken up with the fact that they are very professional in what they do as they work together so well as a team and each have an individuality of different talents and personalities that makes them a rare find. I found myself thinking they have something very commercial that would be likely to get them national notice. Well, I was right. TWC which is comprised of Scott Porter, Steven McDougal (Doogie), Christopher Smith, Brannon Smith and Joseph Tucker recently found themselves being offered the chance to compete on “Paranormal Challenge” which is an American paranormal reality spinoff which recently began airing on the Travel Channel. Ghost adventures lead investigator Zak Begans is the creator and host of this new series.

On Friday, August 12th I sat down and watched TWC and The Office of Paranormal Studies team compete in a challenge of who could get the most impressive evidence at the South Pittsburg Hospital. The hospital which carries an interesting history of paranormal experiences seems to me like the perfect choice for the investigation and competition. Throughout the night, each team carefully studied and investigated the hot spots with their high-tech equipment in an attempt to collect the winning ticket. Towards the conclusion of the show, the panel met with each team and asked them to present them with their three pieces of most compelling evidence including audio and photos. Without regard to the fact that I was obviously rooting for TWC to win the competition, it was clear to not only me, but also to the judge’s panel that they were the clear cut winners of the evening. Without any surprise TWC impressed the panel with their three strong pieces of evidence, particularly an intriguing photo. While both teams were indisputably intelligent and knowledgeable about paranormal studies, the judges ultimately decided that TWC deserved the victory. Ron Fabiani (Paranormal Cops), Zac and the remaining panel unanimously agreed that TWC not only brought them intriguing evidence, but also noticed that they worked together incredibly well as a team. They also agreed that TWC shows a great deal of overall promise as they each have individual personalities forming a very solid foundation as a likeable team.

I was already honored to have accompanied them locally on the ghost hunt for the January issue but now, it looks like TWC is deservedly receiving recognition across America! I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate TWC on their “Paranormal Challenge Win,” and thank them for them for their early appreciation and promotion of Country Entertainment USA: Congratulations guys!.. and all the best to you in the upcoming months as the sky looks to be the limit!
